Knight Rider

One of the 4 Knight Rider cars is up for action on eBay. Yes, KITT is for sale, and you can own him if you win this eBay auction. Back in 2006 one of the Knight Rider cars sold for around $100,000 which was down from the asking price of $149,000. While these 1984 Pontiac Trans-Am cars remain circulated and in good re-conditioned shape they are looking into selling them off as you can see in this eBay auction. The car for sale in this auction is one of the camera cars that Michael Knight – David Hasselhoff actually sat in behind the wheel and this one was not wrecked in any stunt crashes. It remains in excellent shape and ready for its new own to take possession.

Mini Cooper

The Mini Cooper cars, which are currently being manufactured at the company’s plant at Oxford in the UK, will be transported to Munich in Germany where they would be fitted with electric power-trains. This is being done because the cars would not be equipped with engines, gearboxes or fuel tanks when they are manufactured at Oxford

BMW V8

BMW showed the production version of the X6, which it calls a "Sports Activity Vehicle". Not long ago, it was a car. Whatever it is, it will offer a choice of a six-cylinder engine or a 407 hp twin-turbo V8. Yowza!

Dodge Challenger

The all-new 2009 Dodge Challenger merges the best American muscle-car characteristics - unmistakable design, world-class handling, powerful engines, and technology - designed to delight driving enthusiasts across several generations.

The Dodge Challenger is the first five-passenger, two-door coupe produced from Chrysler’s proven rear-wheel-drive platform that delivers the Chrysler 300 and Dodge Charger. Developed with Dodge’s credo of “bold, powerful and capable,” the Challenger delivers a modern two-door muscle car.

Three models will be offered in North America: Dodge Challenger SRT8®, Dodge Challenger R/T and Dodge Challenger SE.

Dodge Viper

The true elemental force of the New World, the very essence of power, the snake with the sharpest bite, are just some of the headlines attempting to sum up the unmatchable strength of the Dodge Viper.

Currently the engine capacity lies at 8.4 liters with ten cylinders having an inner diameter of 10.34 cm. With a deviation of 10.06cm the engine now produces a horsepower of 612 and a torque of 560lb-ft (760Nm) by means of crankshaft and transmission on the rear wheels. The Viper rages from 0 to 62mph (100km/h) in 3.6 seconds and its enormous kick keeps on kicking up to 202mph or 325km/h.

Range Rover

The HAMANN Range Rover Sport Conqueror is the result of the meeting between classic English design and German styling. The German tuning company HAMANN also improved on the Range Rover's performance and upgraded the power output to 475 hp and 610 Nm of torque.

The HAMANN Range Rover Sport has a wide body aerodynamic kit “Conqueror” with an engine tuning up to 349 kW/475 bhp and 610 Nm. Equipped with a wide body styling kit, the Range certainly receives astonished looks. But HAMANN not only provides the SUV an impressive aerodynamics kit. The German tuners for example also have a variety of power upgrades, interior accessories and wide body compatible 23 inch wheels to offer.

Audi A8

The A8, Audi’s large luxury sedan, gets a number of minor cosmetic improvements--including a redesigned front end and LE taillights--and newly available high-tech features. The AudiA8 remains powered by a 350-horsepower, 4.2-liter V-8 on the standard A8 and extended-length A8 L, or a 450-hp W12 engine in the top-of-the-range A8 L W12. The high-performance S8, with its V-10 engine and more aggressive equipment, is covered in a separate review.

The A8's variable-ratio, variable-assist steering system has been recalibrated for 2008 to yield more road feel, and the air suspension has been retuned. V-8-powered models of the Audi A8 have plenty of power in either body length, but the 12-cylinder engine has a quiet whir and tremendous torque to provide effortless acceleration at almost any speed.

The Audi has some of the best front seats in any vehicle at any price; they're large and not only firm enough to hold you in place on a twisty road but also superbly comfortable for long-haul driving.

MAZDA-HYDROGEN-ROTARY-VEHICLE

Mazda recently announced it has introduced the Mazda RX-8 Hydrogen RE vehicle to Norway’s public roads in collaboration with the Hydrogen Road of Norway project, which aims to establish a clean energy transport system based on hydrogen fuel.

On-road validation is a prelude to delivery of 30 more vehicles that Mazda will lease to HyNor. This is the first time that a Mazda hydrogen rotary vehicle has been put into regular use on public roads outside of Japan.

The RX-8 Hydrogen RE is another example of Mazda’s ‘Sustainable Zoom-Zoom’ strategy of developing technologies that have less of an impact on the environment, and still provide exhilarating driving enjoyment and safety. Mazda is the only carmaker in the world to mass produce the RENESIS rotary engine. Not only does its unique architecture make it better suited to combusting hydrogen than a piston engine, it is relatively easy to convert.

The RX-8 Hydrogen RE is also dual-fuel and allows the driver to switch between petrol when need be, and hydrogen where available, making it an ideal vehicle for use now in those areas in Europe where a hydrogen infrastructure currently exists. During the validation process, the Mazda RX-8 Hydrogen RE will also be exhibited to potential customers interested in leasing a hydrogen vehicle at environmental and other events

Maserati MC Victory

The 2007 GranSport MC Victory is a beautiful, blue, limited edition GranSport. To celebrate winning the 2005 FIA GT Manufacturers' Cup, Maserati had launched a new limited edition model of the Maserati GranSport.

Turbo Cabriolet

The TechArt Turbo Cabriolet debuted at the Essen Motor Show2007. The TechArt Turbo Cabriolet follows the usual formula, offering incremental power upgrades culminating with a 630 hp/604 lb-ft. This, while retaining the Turbo's AWD system and offering the added benefit of topless motoring.

The added power comes from new turbos, extensively upgraded intake and exhaust plumbing, and new engine management programming that ties it all together. TechArt also doctors the chassis, allowing the car to be lowered an additional 25mm via the factory PASM setup. Buyers can choose between two aero packages and the usual assortment of wheel/tire/interior upgrades, resulting in a bespoke convertible sports car with a top speed of 214 mph.

Ferrari-612-Scaglietti

Those expecting to see a new entry-level Ferrari at Geneva, possibly called the Dino, were disappointed. But we do hear such a car may be possible at the Paris show later this year. In the meantime, Ferrari unveiled an updated version of its 2+2, the 612 Scaglietti.

Mercedes Benz SLR Stirling Moss

It’s a car created as a tribute to the man crazy enough to drive a Formula 1-based car 1000 miles flat out at an average speed of nearly 100 mph — all with little more than an open-face helmet and goggles protecting him from the violently onrushing air and debris.

MERCEDES SLR McLlaren

The exceptional qualities of the Roadster are attributable also to the fully retractable top, which blends harmoniously into the flowing lines of the SLR McLaren. Its newly developed roof material, which has an interesting new look, not only guarantees complete suitability for everyday use in all weathers, but also endows the high-performance sports car with characteristics that are highly unusual in a roadster. For example, the top speed of 332 km/h with the roof up matches the extraordinary figure set by the Coupé. The roof opens and closes semi-automatically in less than ten seconds, thereby combining the desire for convenience with the purist character of the roadster.

PORSCHE GMT V6

A 2,967cc, V6 turbodiesel engine shared with the mechanically similar Audi Q7 and Volkswagen Touareg is Porsche's way of answering criticism of its hitherto petrol-powered range, and particularly the aggressive Cayenne SUV.

It develops 236bhp from 4,000 to 4,400rpm, more importantly there's 406lb ft of torque from 2,000-2,250rpm to provide the sort of urge expected of the marque. Like its petrol sisters, the Cayenne Diesel is four-wheel drive, via a standard six-speed Tiptronic S transmission.

The top speed is 133mph, with 0-62mph in 8.3sec. Its official EU Urban fuel consumption is 24.4mpg (30.4mpg Combined), with CO2 emissions of 244g/km.

Engine noise, the perennial bugbear of diesel-powered vehicles, has been tackled by the fitment of an acoustic windscreen. At 70mph, the engine is turning at only 2,100rpm, ensuring quiet cruising.

As ever with Porsche, there's an array of expensive options, including Porsche's excellent Active Suspension Management (PASM) at £1,931.

PORSCHE PANAMERA 2009

The new four-door Porsche Panamera Gran Turismo will be making its world debut in spring 2009, and the first models will be arriving in Porsche centres worldwide from late summer next year.

PORSCHE BOXSTER RS 2009

It’s no secret that Porsche’s Boxster was inspired by the German sports-car maker’s classic 550 Spyder racing model. And it’s also no secret that Porsche loves to run limited-editions of its popular roadster. The first generation Boxster (that’s 986 for those in the know) saw a special 550 Spyder commemorative edition made in limited numbers, while the current (987) Boxster has a North American-only special edition on the market now, of which only 500 examples were produced - all in Porsche’s GT3 RS Orange paint.

The new Boxster RS 60 Spyder reflects the sporting character and design purism of that successful mid-engined two-seater sports racing car. The RS 60 Spyder is based on the acclaimed Boxster S model, but differs significantly in terms of its performance and features.

PORSCHE CARREARA 911

compunction about calling them the best 911s yet. Unfortunately, wet roads and pervasive squadrons of radar-wielding polizei blew away our chance to enjoy the full force of the two more powerful boxer sixes, the refined chassis, and the new twin-clutch automatic gearbox.

JAGUAR XF 2009

The Jaguar XF debuted for the 2009 model year. It rides on a stiff new structure that shares some suspension components with the sporty XK coupe and convertible. The car's exterior shape takes inspiration from many historic Jaguar design cues (especially the 1959 Jaguar Mk. II) and combines them with the current enthusiasm for sedans styled to have a coupelike roof line. The result has been somewhat controversial, but most will agree that the XF looks better in person than in photos.

There are two engines available, and they will be familiar to many Jaguar drivers. The first is a normally aspirated 4.2-liter V8 producing 300 horsepower and 310 pound-feet of torque. The second is a supercharged version that makes 420 hp and 413 lb-ft of torque. For both engines, power is sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed automatic transmission with manual control via steering-wheel-mounted paddles. One of the XF's more distinctive features is its JaguarDrive gear selector, a small rotary knob that rises out of the center console, replacing the traditional console-mounted shift lever.

JAGUAR XJ 2009

Despite the fact, that Jaguar is working on the all-new XJ, they have updated the current XJ last time for the year 2009. As we wrote yesterday the all-new XJ will be available most likely already in 2010.

Jaguar has improved the seat design for better comfort, also heated seats are now standard across the range. Air-cooling is now standard on Sovereign models. There is more rear leg and foot room thanks to redesigned back seats.

Renowned for its all-aluminium body construction, the updated XJ line-up offers a choice of two engines for customers. First one is the 2.7-liter Diesel (combined fuel economy of 35 mpg/6.72 l/100 km). Second one is the 4.2-liter supercharged V8 previously found in the XJR. In the UK prices for the 2009 Jaguar XJ start at £44,599.

JAGUAR XKR PORTFOLIO

Jaguar will unveil at the Geneva Motor Show the 2009 XKR Portfolio Special Edition, a model that follow the e success of the first XKR Portfolio model launched in 2007. The 2009 XKR Portfolio will go on sale in selected markets from June 2008.
It is powered by a supercharged 4.2 liter V8 engine that delivers 420 hp. Every XKR benefits from its advanced aluminum construction, which ensures that it’s striking looks are matched by a dynamic, lightweight chassis.XKR Portfolio’s Alcon R Performance braking system is the result of close collaboration between leading brake manufacturer Alcon and Jaguar’s engineers who together carried out extensive testing at Jaguar’s specialist engineering center, based at the Nurburgring in Germany. Boasting the largest brake discs ever fitted to a production Jaguar – with 400mm front brake discs and powerful six-piston callipers, while at the rear four-piston callipers operate on 350mm discs – the XKR Portfolio’s brakes produce fade-free performance time and time again whilst maintaining Jaguar’s renowned blend of refinement and stopping power.
